What is a container ministry and why is it needed?
This is one of our most resource reliant ministries, involving the efforts of countless volunteers working together to coordinate the movement of donated goods from start to finish. We’ve successfully shipped containers to Armenia for over twenty-two years and have developed an efficient planning and implementation process. Everything from folding techniques to maximise the use of space, and an individual labelling system has been taken into consideration.
An Australia only initiative, the container must successfully pass through our stringent customs department before it is then shipped to Armenia on a journey that can take up to two months.
The goods are then received in Armenia, and our status as a humanitarian organisation allows for a direct partnership with the Armenian Government, providing us with a list of nominated villages to distribute to immediately. The contents of the container are also distributed to ACM sponsor supported families, schools, hospitals, villages, orphanages and much more. Through God’s Grace we have sent over $15 Million worth of goods throughout our twenty-two year history, with donations being received from all over the country.
